1808containsthesystemclockandan“external”clockinputconnector.

Forliveproduction,TFC‐0000‐04tacticalmilitarygradefiberwithTAC‐4ConnectorsisrequiredbetweentheVIM‐1808and
VIM‐0808.NeutrikOpticalCon®tacticalfiber(TFC‐0000‐02‐OC)isalsoavailableforsimilarapplications.Forinstallationswhere
thefiberwillbepulledthroughconduit,eitherVFC‐0000‐D
(PVCfiber)orVFC‐0000‐DP(Plenumratedfiber)withSTconne ctor
terminationsisrecommended.Thereisalsoanoptionfora“PullingEye”whichcanbespecifiedbyaddingan“E”tothepart
numbersabove(VFC‐0000‐DE;VFC‐0000‐DPE).Thisoptionincludesa strainreliefand
pullingeyeononeendofthefiberoptic
cable.
Lightweightmilitary“tacticalgrade”fiber‘cable’(TFC‐0000‐04)carriesthedigitalsignalbetweenLightViperdevices.Neutrik
OpticalCon®tacticalcableisalsoavailable.Forinstallationuse,eitherPVCorPlenumratedfiberisrecommended(VFC‐0000‐
D,VFC‐0000‐DP).
TAC‐4andOpticalCon®Panels
(VPL‐11,VPL‐12&VPL‐13).These1Urackpanelsinclude(1),(2)or(3)TAC‐4connectorsrespectivelyallowingforconnection
betweentheTAC‐4panelmountconnectorandtheSTconnectorsontheVIM‐1808/0808.NeutrikOpticalConpanelmount
connectorscanalsobemountedonthesepanelsratherthanTAC‐4connectors.Specifybyusingthesuffix“OC”(Ex.“VPL‐11‐
OC).TAC‐4andNeutrikOpticalConconnectorscanalsobefitdirectlyonthechassisofthe VIM‐1808/0808system.In
applicationssuchasthese,rackearsandVPLpanelsarenotrequired.AllLightViperunitscomestandardwithSTconnectors
unlessotherwisespecified.
